I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.
Before this, I was a Postdoctoral researcher, Course Director, and Lecturer at York University , Toronto, Canada.
I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Microfluidics, and Lab-on-Chip) from York University. I obtained my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in Iran, at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, and University of Tehran, respectively.
My research in Iran and Canada has resulted in substantial external funding, prestigious institutional- and national- awards and scholarships, Industry collaborations, training of undergraduate and graduate students, filing of patents, technology commercialization, and publication of articles in top-tier journals, and peer-reviewed papers in prestigious international conferences.
My research interest(s) are covering fundamental and applied concepts including
1. Fundamental Investigation of Multi-Physics & Multi-Phase Flow Mechanics at Microscale.
2. Lab-on-Chip Autonomous Analyzers and Microfluidic Sensors (e.g., Optical, fluorometric & electrochemical) for Environmental Monitoring and Health Assessments.
3. Microfluidics & Lab-on-Chip Platforms for Synthesis & Characterization of Advanced Functional Materials.
4. Organ- and Organism-on-Chip Technologies for Toxicity Assessment, Genetic Studies, and Disease Investigation.
